For a good reason, subway tiles are among the most popular choices for floors and walls. They are available in various styles, colours, patterns, textures, and forms to match any design theme or desire.
Subway tiles are commonly used on the walls and floors of kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, entryways, and other spaces where a cleanable surface is desired. The term stems from the fact that they resemble little squares with a centre hole for grout filling; most varieties of ceramic tiles have this shape. Subway tile is a ceramic or glass tile design that comes in sizes ranging from 12×12 to 24×24 inches. There are two sizes available: one for the top row and another for the bottom row. Stripes, diamonds, zig-zag patterns (to create movement), rectangles with alternate colours, or anything else can be used as a pattern.
